Day 0:
Evening departure from London or Manchester airports. 12 hours flight on the comfortable Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur , in Malaysia .

Day 1:
Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and connect to Kuching in Borneo . Meet your Way Out host for a warm welcome and check into comfortable hotel for an overnight stay. The hotel is 10 mins from the airport and gives you a chance to unwind out of the jet lag before your adventures begin the next day.

 Day 2:
After breakfast we fly out from Kuching to Sibu (30 min) and take a private transfer to the colourful Sibu town. You have a few hours to explore the exotic, colourful market before taking a comfortable river ferry to Kapit (3 hours) along the great Rejang River (longest river in Malaysia ). Roam the small village streets of Kapit and enjoy local coffee in old Chinese café. Visit local street markets and discover new jungle delicacies. Next up, 45-minute speedboat ride deeper into the ancient Pelagus Rainforest, home to the once ferocious HeadHunters tribes. As your boat wades through the river, flanked on both sides of the riverbanks, Long Houses lay snug in the grasp of nature. Nestled amongst the river rapids, created according to legend by the great serpent-spirit Nabau, you arrive at an auspicious Long House, the Regency Pelagus Resort. You will be greeted with a warm welcome ceremony. This tribal inspired resort thrown off the beaten track reflects a classic Iban wooden Longhouse style and is run proudly by Iban tribesmen.

Day 3-5:
All adventure activities take place in jungle locations around the resort. Local Iban's with a wealth of cultural and natural knowledge conduct all guided tours. Our activities give you a rich taste of the tribal experience;

 
• Come face to face with the Iban Chief on an Iban Long House excursion;  
• Choose to jungle trek along the several trails leading into the ancient rainforest, one of the oldest in the world, and discover the thousands of species of plants and animals that outlived the dinosaurs;  
• Learn a new skill at one our Borneo Lifestyle classes; rattan weaving (handicraft), Iban silat (martial arts), ngajat (traditional dance), Iban language, tribal musical instruments, traditional fishing. Sample Iban local brew with bamboo chicken. Lush!  
• Pick your own vegetables for dinner in our vegetables gardens. Or discover the hidden benefits from rainforest plant species;  
• Turn the adrenaline up with rapid shooting in a speedboat or turn the stress levels down and relax by the poolside.
• To top it all off, enjoy the dramatic evening storytelling sessions. Discover the mystic marvels surrounding this unique experience destination told by the direct descendants of the notorious Head Hunters of Borneo.

Day 6:
After breakfast, say goodbye to new found friends and depart for civilisation. Back to Sibu Airport , we depart in the afternoon to fly Kuala Lumpur . Arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and meet your Way Out host for a warm welcome and check into Concorde Inn hotel for an overnight stay. The hotel is 5 mins from the airport and gives you a chance to unwind before your adventures begin the next day.

Day 7:
After breakfast, you head back to the airport where your Way Out host ushers you onto a connecting flight to Kota Bharu, East Malaysia (1-hour flight). Arrive in Kota Bharu airport and meet your Way Out Guide for the Coral Discovery. A private bus drives an hour to the Kuala Besut jetty. A 30 minute boat trip leaves to take you to the idyllic Perhentian Islands . The boat docks at heaven. A warm welcome and check into rustic beach stay. The chalets are homely with en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and all other facilities for comfort. Chill out and reach for the beach and get reborn as a beach explorer. Get accustomed to paradise. shouldn't be a problem.

Day 8:
After breakfast, slip into your fins and snorkel amidst some of the most dramatic corals this side of the island. Try some turtle spotting or maybe just look for the colourful corals. Our advanced divers will teach you some of the basic species and explain this underwater world.

 Day 9-12:
Coached by professional dive masters, discover Scuba Diving. The course is especially designed for first time divers or refreshers. We upload you with our Guide to the Coral World so that you can be a little more nature savvy and understand and recognise the various species of fish and coral. If you are more advanced, the instructors can train you for your PADI Open Water Diving Certificate or PADI Advanced Diving Certificate. No matter what your level, our instructors can provide you with some great diving. And if you want to stick to snorkelling and relaxing, we're more than happy.

Day 13:
Island jungle hike in the morning. Island hop by boat to nearby Lang Tengah/Redang Islands for coral trek in the afternoon. Choose between sea canoe around the Island or more diving or get the most of it and do both. After lunch boat trip to another beach and explore the fresh water creek and take in some sea eagle spotting.

 Day 14:
Island is all yours. At night a boat taxi takes you to Long Beach . Swap stories at the bar and enjoy yourselves.

Day 15:
After breakfast, check out of paradise and we take you back to Kota Bharu Airport where we say goodbye. Flight connects at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to London/Manchester. Arrive next day early morning.

Optional:
Extend your stay for 2 or 3 nights in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur . We will point you in the right direction for food, sightseeing, bars and some last minute shopping.
